Nick Hornby’s 1995 novel High Fidelity is gets a reboot thanks to Hulu. Hulu has released a first look at its new version, starring Zoë Kravitz will portray Rob, the role played by John Cusack in the 2000 film adaptation. Or, in this version, Robyn, a record store owner in the rapidly gentrified neighborhood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
The series also stars Da'Vine Joy Randolph, David H. Holmes, Jake Lacy, and Kingsley Ben-Adir.
Fans of High Fidelity will note that Kravitz has a special connection to the film adaptation. Her mother, Lisa Bonet, plays a musician named Marie De Salle with whom Cusack’s character has a fling.
