AfroPunk put together a mixtape full of the best punk, metal, industrial, and hardcore of 2019

It’s hard to sum up a year that’s seen rising oppression the world over at the same time as globe-spanning networks fighting for racial, economic, and ecological justice. It’s harder still to sum up a decade full of the same extremes. The one clear lesson is that the power is in these global networks and it is ours for the taking. This month, we’ve collected a set of artists who break all available molds, from icons like The Fever 333, Rico Nasty, and Brittany Howard to AFROPUNK favs like HXLT, ALIGNS, and Black Pantera, let this month’s mixtape be your soundtrack
